For over 130 years, Huffy has been a household name in the bicycle industry, known for delivering bikes that inspire adventure and fun for families worldwide. Now, after decades away from the BMX scene, Huffy is making a powerful comeback, reigniting its passion for freestyle and race biking. Since announcing its reentry into BMX in early 2024, the brand has been moving at full speed, growing its roster of elite riders and preparing to release an expanded line of BMX products throughout 2025.

On February 18th, the entire Huffy BMX team gathered at the company’s headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio, to celebrate their collective progress and gear up for an exciting future. With seven talented riders spanning various BMX disciplines, the team embodies skill, dedication, and a shared mission: to grow the sport and inspire the next generation of BMX enthusiasts.
Huffy’s BMX team isn’t just about competition; it’s about fostering a love for the sport at all levels. The team’s riders frequently participate in clinics and events that introduce young bikers to BMX, helping them build confidence and skills. Whether at local skateparks or global competitions, these athletes are committed to getting more kids outdoors and into the world of BMX.

Chris King, VP of Marketing and DTC for United Wheels, Huffy’s parent company, emphasized the company’s long-standing dedication to cycling. “Each of these talented riders shares our passion for getting more kids and families on bikes and inspiring wheeled adventures – whether that's at a local skatepark or in their own neighborhood,” King said.
“Huffy’s rich history in BMX and in the cycling category overall helps us be well-suited to serve every rider from those trying BMX for the first time to riders who are training with the end goal of becoming an Olympian.”
With team members like Olympians Nic Long and Nick Bruce, as well as rising stars like Carly Kane and Huck Kurinsky, Huffy is making waves in both freestyle and race BMX. The riders bring a wealth of experience and a shared vision for expanding the sport’s reach.

The excitement surrounding Huffy’s BMX resurgence is palpable. The company has been energized by its progress over the past year and is eager to push forward with even more momentum.
“The past year has been energizing for the Huffy team, and fueled the fire in our organization to continue our pursuit of growth and success in BMX,” added King. “With our passionate and dedicated team of riders beside us, we are thrilled for all that is to come in 2025 and beyond!”
Huffy’s return to BMX is more than just a business move—it’s a commitment to the sport, its riders, and the future of BMX. With a growing team and new product innovations on the horizon, Huffy is poised to make a lasting impact in the BMX world once again.
