With a dirt trail behind her and a promising career ahead, Tucson’s own Daleny Vaughn is charging into the second stop of the 2025 BMX season with her sights set on redemption.
The Pro Opener typically brings high energy and fast starts, but Vaughn’s season began on a tougher note. A series of hospital visits in the offseason set back her preparation for the first stop in Rock Hill, SC. Despite the setback, she still suited up, lined up, and gave it everything she had. But now, with Rock Hill in the rearview mirror, Vaughn is hitting the reset button and focusing on bouncing back strong in Bakersfield.
After finishing third overall in 2024, Vaughn has her eyes on the ultimate prize this year—the Silver Cup in Tulsa. With a long season still ahead and plenty of racing to go, she has a golden opportunity to rejoin the title chase in what’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting seasons yet.
